It is raining in Boca and I have this great view of the intercoastal waterway, backdropped by lightening strikes in the distance, from my room on the 21st floor of the hotel as I read that:

John Edwards has admitted to the affair that he denied. This should be even more of a bitter embarrassment to the mainstream media who were scooped on this story by the disreputable National Enquirer. It is reprehensible that the New York Times broke a story with no credibility that McCain had an affair, and ignored for months that a top Democratic candidate had an affair while his wife had cancer.

The morally ambiguous will contend that this is irrelevant. I strongly disagree. Ross Perot was once asked how he justified his intrusion into the private lives of his employees. He responded, “If your wife can’t trust you then how can I?”
