On December 15 I posted the predictions for Iowa from Intrade showing Huckabee and Obama winning in Iowa. So far so good, we will see how the other primary predictions turn out.

I find it worthy that Huckabee soundly beat Romney in spite of being dramatically outspent. So goes the myth that money can buy elections.

I find it even more interesting that Obama beat Hillary (who surprisingly came in third!). So goes the myth of the Clinton mystique. Even more worthy is that a black man won in a state that is 97% white. This is huge progress. So goes the myth of the racist nation.

I credit Obama for running a campaign that refused to play the race card. That is class.

It is a long way from Iowa to the White House and many successful candidates for President lost in Iowa, but it was nice to see some stale myths laid to rest.

Someone may want to alert the media.
