The economy is weak and much of the reason is the growth restraints of Obama Care and the Dodd-Frank bill.  There are health insurance issues and financial issues that need to be addressed with legislation but these bills either addressed the wrong problems or addressed the right problems in the most onerous, ineffective way possible.

But  it could have been much worse. When the Democrats controlled both houses, they tried to pass the Union Card Check Bill and Cap and Trade.  They failed and for that we should all be grateful. If those two monstrosities had been added to their other legislative successes we would be mired in a real depression.  Just the fact that this administration favors such legislation has subdued the animal spirits of economic growth.
