Obama is a very bright man and he is surrounding himself with a very bright group in his cabinet.

It reminds me of the “Best and the Brightest” (the phrase was a book title by David Halberstam about the Viet Nam war) of the Kennedy presidency. Kennedy had a number of Ivy League intellectuals in his cabinet who in spite of their pedigree, regularly accumulated foreign policy blunders.

It takes far more than intellect to guide this country. Even experience is secondary to an understanding that requires sound principles with a humility that keeps certainty contained.

With humility intellect is a tool; without it intellect is a weapon.
