In my adult years I have developed a taste for single malt scotch. On my bar are bottles of Glenfarclas 12, Balvenie Doublewood 12, Abelour Abunbdah, Lagavulin 16 (peaty), Glenlivit, and two bottles from the Scotch Whiskey Society including a 39 year old scotch I am waiting for a special occasion to open.
These are sipping whiskies. Distinct tastes. Price wise they range from $40-to $90 with the exception of the Scotch Society bottlings which are commonly over $100 a bottle. Enjoying these outside in the evening inthe cooler southern autumns, occasionaly with a cigar, never ceases to bring a smile to my face.
