I only see TV news when I travel. I was repulsed by Harry Reid’s nasty attempt to blame the mortgage and economic woes on Alan Greenspan, contending he was too busy attending fancy cocktail parties instead of attending to economic problems.
How come when a political hemroid like Reid smears a public servant the phrase “mean spirited” is never applied to him. It seems this term is only applied to Republicans.
The reality is that the economy is complicated and that while the Fed does a pretty good job managing the normal variations in the economy it is difficult to manage the extreme movements or the “Black Swans” .
Part of being an mature adult is recognizing our limitations and realizing that we do not control as much as we think we do. Part of being a leader is accepting resonsibility and not hiding by seeking and boorishly blaming scapegoats.
Reid is neither.
